Blitz the açaí puree, hemp hearts, maple syrup and dates in a high speed blender.
Put the mixture into a bowl and add the desiccated coconut and coconut oil and mix well.
Form the mixture into macaroon shapes and set in the fridge to firm for 1 hour.
Melt the dark chocolate and dip the base of the macaroons into it.
If decorating with the coconut flakes put a blob of chocolate on the top of each macaroon and press a few of the coconut flakes on top.
Chill until ready to serve.
