Baked Bean and Cheese Lattice

Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6. Line a baking tray.

Roll out the pastry and cut it into 12 even rectangles.

Score six of the rectangles diagonally with a knife and set aside.

Place the remaining six (unscored) rectangles onto the baking tray and spoon some beans into the middle of each one. Then top each one with a dairy-free cheese slice.

Place the scored rectangles over the top of the pastry slices and seal the edges by pressing together – you can dip your finger in water and run a little around the edge, to help seal them, if you wish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes before serving.
