Basic Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

30g (1/2 cup)
1/4 tsp
Sea Salt and Black Pepper, to taste

Method

Melt the butter in a heavy based pan over a medium heat and stir in the flour to make a paste. Cook, stirring continuously, for a few minutes to cook out the flour.

Gradually whisk in the milk until you have a smooth glossy sauce.

Whisk in the remaining ingredients and season well. If the sauce is too thick, add a little milk and whisk well to thin it.
