Best Ever Beans on Toast

For the Beans:



Gently heat the olive oil in a small saucepan before adding the onions and garlic with a pinch of salt. Cook gently until the onions have softened.


Add all the rest of the ingredients to the pan and stir well to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer and leave to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened.


Lightly toast the bread on both sides and spread with non-dairy butter. Arrange the toast onto plates and pile the beans on top
