Carrot Dogs

Ingredients

For the marinade:

60ml (1/4 cup)
Water
60ml (1/4 cup)
3 tbsp

For the hotdogs:

Method

Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and add the carrots. Simmer for 7 minutes and drain.

Place all the marinade ingredients into a large zip lock food bag and mix well.

Add the carrots to the marinade, seal and refrigerate for a few hours, or ideally overnight.

When ready to cook, heat a large frying pan and tip in the carrots and their marinade. Cook over a medium heat until the carrots are tender and the marinade has evaporated, taking care that they don’t start to catch and burn.

Serve in warmed buns, with some sliced onion and toppings of your choice.
