Plant-based blogger and businesswoman Ella Mills has launched a new range of vegan ready meals, expanding her brand Deliciously Ella.
Mills is known for her first cookbook, Deliciously Ella, after switching to a vegan diet for health reasons. This saw her find success in the plant-based sector, with two delicatessens, several best-selling books, and a growing range of food products.
Reported by trade title The Grocer, the ready meal line includes five different meals that will feed two per dish.
Sweet potato and black bean shepherd’s pie, five bean chilli, Thai yellow curry, cauliflower and lentil dahl and spiced spinach and potato cakes are the flavours available from the ready meal range. The new ready meals will be packaged in recyclable paper and plastic.
Mills has been working on the ready meal range for 18 months, and said: “We wanted to create a line of food that made it easier for people.” The frozen range will be available from Ocado and Wholefoods later this month, priced at £3.99 and £4.99.
Mills features in the October issue of PlantBased magazine, available in stores now.
