Dr. Neal Barnard is releasing a new cookbook at the end of February giving readers recipes and the information needed to help them reverse and prevent diabetes. The book is aimed particularly at those who have type 2 diabetes, which is diet and lifestyle related, and has the potential to be reversed with the correct lifestyle changes.
Type 2 diabetes is considered a life-long condition that is managed by medication and sometimes by injecting insulin regularly insulin. It’s often related to those who are overweight, or within a certain age bracket and following the right diet and lifestyle, it has the potential to be reversed. Dr Near Barnard says: “Finally an approach to managing diabetes that is not based on pills or injections, but on food – the most delicious “prescription” you could imagine”.
He released the news via Twitter saying: “I’m so excited to announce that I’m teaming up with @dreenaburton on a brand new cookbook with 150 delicious, plant-based recipes that can help you beat type 2 diabetes! Look for it next month.”
The book is called Dr Neal Barnard’s cookbook for Reversing Diabetes and will be available to order online. Always remember to seek advice from your GP before making drastic changes to your lifestyle and diet.
