Otherwise known as plant-based milk, non-dairy milk, dairy-free milk or nut milk, plant milks allow you to still enjoy consuming milk, whilst not being a part of the maltreatment of our dairy cows and their calves. Plant milks are a healthy and cruelty free milk substitute packed with vitamins derived from natural ingredients such as soy creating soy milk, coconuts for coconut milk and almonds for almond milk. Other types of plant milk can include hemp milk, cashew milk, hazelnut milk, oat milk, and milk from peas and lupins. They all have a slightly different taste and consistency. Plant milk is not just used as a liquid to put in your tea or on cereal it can be used as an alternative in making ice cream, cream, cheese and yoghurt.
