Satisfy your cheat day carb cravings with this recipe for loaded dirty fires topped with guacamole and salsa

Serves 2

  • 2 Portions of cooked fries eg; potato, sweet potato, home-made or shop bought


For the Guacamole

  • 2 large, ripe avocado
  • ½ small red onion, peeled and finely diced
  • 1 small clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 small bunch fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 -1 large, mild red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Sea salt and black pepper


For the Salsa

  • 1 200g tin chopped tomatoes
  • ½ small red onion, peeled and finely diced
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • Sea salt and black pepper


To Serve, mix and match from the following toppings

  • Pickled jalapenos
  • Vegan sour cream
  • Grated vegan cheese
  • Coriander leaves
  • Finely chopped spring onion
  • Cooked and chopped vegan bacon
  • Refried beans
  • Hot sauce



  1. Cook the fries according to pack instructions or in your preferred way.
  2. Add all the ingredients for the guacamole to a bowl and roughly mash together with a fork. Season to taste.
  3. In another bowl, repeat the same process with the salsa ingredients.
  4. When ready to serve, arrange your fries on a plate, bowl or serving platter and top with the guacamole, salsa and ingredients of your choice. Serve immediately.
