How to Make Perfect Porridge: Vanilla Poached Pear

Put the oats in a saucepan, pour in the plant-based milk and sprinkle in sugar/sweetener and a pinch of salt.

Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring from time to time and watching carefully that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.

Stir in flax and leave to stand for 2 minutes before eating.

Or if you want to cook in the microwave: mix the oats, milk, sugar/sweetener and a pinch of salt in a microwave-proof bowl and cook on high or 2 minutes. Stir in flax and leave to cool before eating.
