In a bowl mix together the oats, date pieces, peanut butter, agave syrup, choc chunks and salt.
Mix thoroughly to ensure that all the ingredients are well combined and even throughout.
Put the oat mixture into the fridge to thicken and chill, ideally over night.
After several hours remove the mixture from the fridge and roll into small bite size balls.
Return the balls to the fridge to set and harden, ideally for a couple of hours or so.
Break the dark chocolate into pieces.
Add a little water to a saucepan and place a glass bowl over the top. The water should not touch the bowl.
When the water starts to boil, add the chocolate to the glass bowl and allow the steam to melt the chocolate.
Add a little water and keep stirring until you have a smooth chocolate sauce.
Dip each ball into the chocolate and decorate with chopped nuts, coconut or cinnamon while the chocolate is still wet.
Put the balls into a fridge to set.
Best served chilled.
