After 20 years of vegan festivals, this summer VegfestUK is going online with Summerfest.
This free online event, taking place on 15th and 16th August, will include many of the fun features that visitors have come to know and love from VegfestUK’s physical shows. Vegan exhibitors will be offering their goods and services, while plant-based chefs from around the world will demonstrate delicious recipes.
The event will also feature an array of guests; actress Carol Royle, musician Tally Spear, TV presenter Wendy Turner Webster, actor Gary Webster, and Nathan King of Level 42 fame, amongst others, will be appearing on Saturday night, while legendary reggae star and long term vegan Macka B will make a guest appearance on Sunday evening. Recent vegan convert Adamski will celebrate 30 years of his dance hit Killer with an appearance, also on Sunday evening.
Elsewhere, the Plant Based Health Professionals UK, a group of practicing GPs, consultants and experts will deliver an up-to-date, evidence-based summary of recent nutrition and healthy news. This will include a live seminar that will specifically look to advise people on health and wellbeing during the pandemic.
As is always the case with VegfestUK events, visitors will be able to listen to various talks and panels around animal activism – this will include a global linkup with some Animal Rebellion leaders from around the world.
With a Fitness Area, an area focusing on New Vegan Support, and an opening panel each day from The Vegan Women’s Leadership Network, there really is something for everyone at SummerFest. If you’ve been missing vegan events, this is the perfect way to spend your weekend.
Registration is free to attend throughout the weekend of 15th and 16th August at vegfest.co.uk/summerfestonline/visit
